Below is a list of website resources I’ve used to help create my storytimes.
Amazon – I use Amazon for its list of new books coming out and it also tells me what’s currently popular for each age range.
Digg – This site helps me to organize all the blogs I read. I add the link to my list and this website streams them all together for easy reading.
Facebook – I primarily use this resource for the Storytime Underground group. The group has over 5,000 members and being able to bounce ideas off fellow children’s librarians is invaluable.
Pinterest – Helps me find new crafts for my storytimes.
Shelfari – This is where I keep a digital library of all the picture books I’ve read. When I find a really great one I add it to my shelf and give it five stars so I know to use it again in the future.
YouTube – I often will search this site for new kids music. Jbrary has been a great channel to find cute rhymes/songs to sing during storytime.
